The Turn Restaurant & Lounge
About This Spot
Stepping into The Turn Restaurant & Lounge feels like discovering a well-kept secret nestled just off the beaten path in Marion. Perched on a small rise, the entrance hints at an inviting balance—where refined dining meets a comfortably unhurried pace, and each visit promises a quietly memorable experience. The mood strikes a gentle harmony between relaxed warmth and understated elegance, welcoming guests who appreciate an atmosphere that’s thoughtfully polished without feeling distant.
Inside, the blend of a classic steakhouse, wine bar, and seafood retreat reveals itself through an intimate yet lively dining room where soft conversations and clinking glasses drift alongside the scent of fresh herbs and grilling spices. The menu is carefully curated to reflect this blend, offering everything from hand-tossed flatbreads and tender grilled salmon to house-favorite burgers paired with unexpectedly crisp sides. Drinks flow with equal care, matching the food’s quality and the space’s inviting energy—whether it’s a perfectly mixed martini, a refreshing mojito, or a sincere glass of wine.
Though the setting carries a touch of sophistication, the welcoming hum of shared laughter and familiar gatherings keeps things approachable. This is a place where the moments around the table matter as much as the food itself—whether it’s a quiet dinner that stretches into a long evening or a spontaneous stop during a road trip. Guests often note the attentive, friendly service and the gentle ease with which time seems to slow, allowing each bite and sip to be savored without rush.
The Turn offers a thoughtfully sized menu, carefully balancing comfort and culinary curiosity. Signature dishes emerge naturally from the kitchen: grilled shrimp skewers with a smoky kiss, honey-glazed salmon that’s both hearty and delicate, or a burger that’s layered with unexpected jam and flavor. Sweet finishes like their chocolate lava cake invite a note of indulgence that fits perfectly at the close of the meal, making this a local spot where both everyday gatherings and special occasions find a pleasing home.

Our poor waitress was the only one working that night, so it took a little bit to get drink refills. Otherwise, I think our entire party enjoyed the food and had a really good time.

The Turn is an excellent place to dine. The food is always excellent and the service is spectacular. I usually go for the wings or a burger when I dine here. Today, I tried a blackened chicken & gouda sandwich they were testing out for the menu. It was fantastic! I hope they keep it around. I also love their house chips. They are tasty and super crisp. If you are looking for a fabulous meal, I highly recommend the Turn.

Quality experience every time we eat here. The servers are super attentive and I’ve never had any issues with the food. The atmosphere is fancy but the price tag isn’t.

Overall giving it a 5/5! We were on a road trip back home and decided to stop here because it was open late. Did have issues finding the place because there were no like definitive signs until you walked up the small hill. Also felt like we stuck out like a sore thumb because this place looked and felt boujee HOWEVER, it was delicious. It is on the pricey side but we were splurging due to birthday. Left full and satisfied for sure. Very clean place and nice staff as well. Will be visiting again!

My first time here. I ordered a garlic honey glazed salmon. It was sooo good, served over rice. My wife ordered a stuffed chicken that she said was really good.c My step-daughter ordered a chicken parm, but she said it wasn't that good. The atmosphere was wonderful, service was great, and facility very clean. The menu was the perfect size - not too big, not too small.

Great flavors all around! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal and would go back again. Personally, I had the fish & chips and just want to start by saying the hush puppies were perfection (I wanted more!), the fish was great also, thick filets with a good amount of breading, KO KO chips were crunchy. Definitely going back to try another dish. Staff was friendly and attentive and the manager came to check on us (which seems to be a thing of the past at most restaurants these days, in my opinion). Definitely recommend eating here!

We ordered a variety of items on the menu and were really impressed. I loved the stuffed mushrooms, Caesar salad, and wings. Others in my party enjoyed their order. The buffalo chicken mac n cheese was the only disappointing food item, would not recommend. Our server, Kelly, was phenomenal. Too bad that we live out of state, I would be a regular at this restaurant.

We decided to eat at The Turn Restaurant & Lounge in Marion and we were not disappointed! All of our food was excellent. I got the apple glazed bone in pork chop, My mom and my niece picked the glazed salmon, My sister got the stuffed chicken breast, and my other niece got the Sunday fried chicken special. We all tried a little of each other's food and couldn't believe how tasty all the dishes were. Even though we were completely stuffed, we decided to order some dessert to share. Turtle cheesecake, warm Krispy Kreme bread pudding, apple tart topped with cinnamon ice cream, and lemon ricotta cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Wow!!! We couldn't decide which one we liked better! I highly recommend this place and will definitely return
